What you meanA Poem by trying_to_writeYou mean more to me than words can explain. The world already existed but without him, it was black and white. A silent movie, waiting to be heard. He gave her the rainbow. The deafening noise; an incredible change from the cold, dead silence, she had listened to all her life. So her life played in colour. For a blissful 90 minutes. But life isn’t like the movies. People hurt and get hurt. Enjoy the warm sun and blue skies she thought to herself, not knowing, if she would ever see them again. But like every good movie, there had to be conflict. And it was him. And her. “It meant nothing I swear” Did I mean nothing? All this time, was I the other girl? I knew it was too good to be true. You always turned your phone away. Went on too many business trips. Stayed too late at the office. I should’ve seen it. I shouldn’t have fallen for you. “Hope she was worth it, cause you certainly weren’t.” © 2019 trying_to_write |
