Stone WallsA Poem by trying_to_writeI didn’t know I was lost, until I met you. Stuck in an infinite maze with countless dead ends, you taught me to look past the dark walls. To find the soft, warm glow of the sun in the sky, when I only saw the hard, cold rocks on the ground. You taught me to look up. Stop staring at my feet and hold my head high. Surrounded for so long, by these towering stone walls, I felt comfortable. I knew these walls I called home, would be there to catch me if I fell. Slowly, you tore the walls down, brick by brick. You were determined. © 2019 trying_to_writeAuthor's Note
