Reminiscent

A Poem by Addie Ward
"

A song about how the way we live our lives affects the way we love.

"

So this is where I stand?
Somewhere between broken and the best.
I will make a point to stand on my own
until you make a point to get me all alone.
And if by chance I find your hand on my waist,
I'll make a point to memorize your face.

Because darling we're all mad here,
we sit and wait for our lives to disappear.
Treating love like it's just a game.
We'll keep talking til there's nothing left to say.

Tell me where your heat lies
In a dream or behind a disguise?
I can hear the words you can't say,
but I can't feel the way you do everyday.
So is there something you'd like to share
before time makes me too much bear?

Because darling we're all mad here,
we sit and wait for our lives to disappear.
Treating love like it's just a game.
We'll keep talking til there's nothing left to say.

So is there something you'd like to share?
I promise darling, that I have been there.
The world is not just crashing on you,
but it's burning its way through me too....

And darling we're all mad here,
we sit and wait for our lives to disappear.
Treating love like it's just a game.
We'll keep talking til there's nothing left to say.
Yes, darling we're all mad here,
we sit and wait for our lives to disappear.
Treating love like it's just a game.
We'll keep talking til there's nothing left to say.
