What I'm Trying To Say...

A brief explanation of a broken heart trying to love again.

I'll give you all that I've got
even though it's not a lot:
half a heart and some broken trust,
but to make you love me, that's just enough
(Isn't it?)

 

And I'm sorry if I can't be perfect
But someone long ago
stole my heart and ripped it apart
as all my scars may show...

 

What I'm trying to say
is forgive me of my imperfections
or my lacking in self-esteem,
I'm just scared of your reactions.

 

What I'm trying to tell you
is no matter what anyone says
they still didn't get the best of me
but enough to make me weak...

 

What I'm trying to say
is sooner or later you'll see
the only thing that's left of me...
