A Poem by Kailee

An enemy thats always lurking around,

She is behind every corner,

Making my life hell is the goal,

Pushing, pushing, pushing people away.

Whispers are shared by friends walking by,

I can't trust anyone,

she makes it impossible

with all her lies.

Lies are told at my expense,

Glares and horrific looks are thrown my way,

I hate it as it continues,

it continues through-out the day.

The enemy always remains unseen,

except for one place,

I look to my mirror and their she stands,

all the looks and all the whispers.

It is all me, all my fault,

because as it turns out,

my worst enemy is me.

Your opening paragraph is mysterious and compels the reader to want more

The pace, structure and tempo of the poem is outstanding

The poem slowly reveals the truth
