CAN'T THIS BLISS ETERNALLY FLOW

CAN'T THIS BLISS ETERNALLY FLOW

A Poem by Kanika
"

This is a piece of writing in which I have expressed how badly I want my school days back

"

CAN’T THIS BLISS ETERNALLY FLOW?

I still want to walk through the corridors while some stare at me

I still want to enter my class while my friends wait for me

Running 2 minutes before the bell,

Hold on I have much to tell.

Morning assembly where half were awake

To not attend school-all the reasons fake.

The fear from the black stars kept us on our toes

Exams approached adding to the woes

Tell them I don’t wanna grow

Cant this bliss eternally flow?

The exuberant game of tug of war,

The tedious atomic model of Bohr

From diligently removing the parallax,

To all the errors in the syntax

These days I know would never come back,

The memories will surely attack.

Tell them I don’t wanna grow

Can’t this bliss eternally flow?

Anyone who can find bliss in the high school years deserves to keep it.

This is so beautifully written, creative and nostalgic. The feeling of wanting bliss and happiness to stay eternal and last forever is so relatable and tangible, especially here.
