Give Me PeaceA Poem by K. L. Sunrise
We all bow low, for the man in the robe
As he bids us to stand again. Then he waves his hands over empty platters, and calls out his father's name. "Dear God!" He cries "Give us delights, please father oh won't you please?" And as if the great father could hear, the plates fill up with meat. All the men rejoice, and call out their voice to thank God and his son for the meal. They sang out their hems, and gave up their sins just to only eat their share. But then a young man, crawled out from the men, to give Jesus his shaking hands. "My mother died of hunger, my father left farther, my sisters were married off! My only daughter, lost her mother, to an illness brought by him!" He pointed to the powerful man, the son of god and then said this: "If God truly loves me, if he truly did, he must kill me, and he must do as I wish. I've had a life, a life to long to live, a life given to me by him! Should he torture me more because I have sinned? But we all have, so why me? If your God truly loved me, then what of these memories? What of this sadness? Only he truly knows, so let me meet him." He wiggled his hand towards the sky. "GOD GIVE ME PEACE!" He cried. I've not seen him since, but he's left me to wonder, if God truly does try.
