The Moon Can Only Live So Long

I know this poem is not as good as some of my other writing, but I feel it has a right to get out there too, so please review!

The moon

Can only live

So long

 

It blossoms

In the face

Of fear,

Of darkness,

And brings light

To our speckled sky

 

And then

at dawn

It sings

A song,

The song of morning,

And sheds

Its shell

To become

The sun.
