Red Sun

Red Sun

A Poem by Bina
"

Red sun rises up so high O to your glory the banners fly

"
Red Sun

Have you seen the ones amassing
Beneath a reddened sun surpassing
The rabble of the once tresspassing
The promise of glory everlasting

Red sun rises up so high
O to your glory the banners fly
Quickened by the bugle's cry
Testament to those who will die

Cries of war herald the day
Bleak lament surrounds the fray
O to the sky the widow prays
For rain to wash her torment away

Red sun O have they missed
The subtlety of a mother's kiss
The whisper of the firing hiss
A mother's son forever missed

Desolate days of famine fasting
No more a soul will be trespassing
A reddened sun ne'er surpassing
A widow's weeping everlasting
