In The Bedroom

In The Bedroom

A Poem by Kaela Craven
"

phantom

"
I smelled you in the bedroom.
You've been gone 4 months but there you were in your dark blue breath
On my neck.
I opened the door and you looked at me without eyes.
It came flying back, the sharp ends of knives
That you left when you left.
And you're probably playing a guitar somewhere,
Talking to girls I'd rather kill than look at,
Or watching the smoke curl away from your cigarette and the long fingers that hold it
But you were there in my bedroom
Last night, for a minute.
