Life in the Blue House

Life in the Blue House

A Poem by Kaela Craven

Anxiously polite

The woman with the tomato salad

And the girl who hates tomatoes

Nervously kind

The invite, the lying

The family of good and evil

The man with the slave

The Latina with the chain

To the man with the blame

Anxiously polite

Are the words expressed

And the words experienced

But never spoken

And the life in the house of blue

That is lived

By everyone but you

Excellent writing. Simple, unadorned, succinct. The picture you chose added to it as well.
