Azure RemembranceA Poem by Kaela Craven
I once walked in lands of summer Whitewashed like Greek islands On a crest of earth beneath the open azure. Girls hummed on the breeze And nights were just intro To sunlight.
Some days When the windows are open And the trees relax under the sky I'm reminded of the summer Long since faded to dusk inside of me. It's a remembrance on the cusp of darkness That lands like a whisper And dies.
The ego of youth The invincibility Mocks me. I am walking in autumn now And autumn only answers To winter.
