Splintered Air

Splintered Air

A Poem by Kaela Craven
"

my mom's family mocks my dad and it pisses me off

"

Amazing how difficult it is to breathe

The splintered air

You blew

You can touch him again

Go ahead

Your hands are silk

You've never touched an orange

Burner

Just touch him again

Go ahead

I've felt his words

Unbalanced

But they were not yours to judge

They are mine and soon

You will know it for a fact

Gentle hug

A quiet word

You can't imagine

What it's like to be that good

You've never tested your nerves

I'll take your hand

And show you

I'll show you how to swallow the pill you broke

Between your teeth

Your lives were too cool to be cruel in any way

So I'll show you how

To be in pain

Excellent! I felt as if you were telling me a story of your life, but in a painful way, gentle. A complicated poem, but you pulled it off, way to go! ks. =)
