Soldier for SunA Poem by Kaela CravenTilt the glass in the light The streams and flecks of solar offerings
I find so much to die for In things that are meant for living
Maybe I can live on dying
A beacon for the cause of soldiering on Despite the error of my birth
Carrying the night on my back I will march with stony feet And iceberg eyes
Perhaps the battle will one day be won So I will keep my weary legs, My slaving bones And compete for unlikely hero - To be a soldier for the sun
