Blueberry

Blueberry

A Poem by Kaela Craven
"

Dedicated to my love.

"

When I dream

I dream in faces.

Balancing forgiveness

On a scale of hope and always.

When I dream

I dream in places

So unlike the ones I know now

So much like the ones I want to.

When I dream

I dream in

Blueberry pupils

Dilated to

Uneven heartbeat

I hear through my sleep.

Lying next to me

Is one of my dreams.

My favorite line is

"Balancing forgiveness
on a scale of hope and always"

The second stanza (or whatever) I think would read better if you cut off the last word of each of the last two lines to read like this:

"So unlike the ones I know
So much like the ones I want"

Completely just my opinion though. Overall I love the poem. You have a unique voice and a genuine love of the written word that is evident in reading your creations. Thank you for sharing.
