Broken By Silence

Broken By Silence

A Poem by Kaela Craven
"

A poem about the intricacies of relationships

"

You've broken me again with your silence
Then you want to know how anyone can be

Broken by silence

I tell you it's the look in your eye that gets too dull
And the curve of your lip that gets too full
When you're nowhere but your head
And it's got blinders

Broken by blinders

And I think I might go back to my mother's
And you think maybe it's a good idea
And what hurts the most
Is you're not being spiteful at all

Broken by silence

Your brother broke in 'cause his girlfriend asked
I asked for your memory and
You'd rather break into a house

And after our fights we always seem to laugh
And I run back as if there's no one but you
And maybe there couldn't be
Anybody like you

And you break me again
But with your laugh
And your eyes get full
And your mouth could never be dull
Again
