My Love

My Love

A Poem by Kaela Craven

Today you made me love you

In a room I could see through glass

I pressed my cheek against to feel the heat

Sometimes I pass like air between those barriers

And feel the fire with my hands

And all is good

Today you made me hate you

And I turned my head and looked the other way
I allowed my hands to feel the pricks of cacti

And rose above you not to see our love

I stood at mountain peaks and felt the wind

Snow melting around my feet

I heard you far below

Calling my name

I fight to feel my love

And I fight to feel my pain
