Do I fight?

Do I fight?

A Poem by Kaela Craven
"

Just expressing fears for my future

"
You were born to a mountain too proud to crumble
Blue eyes behind you
Meant not to stumble

A few hundred years and the mornings are hazy
Night falls too black
Afraid for my baby

Do I fight?

And where will you go when the paths are eroded
The prisons are full
The new trains are loaded

Meteors fall and the sweet light is sleeping
The fathers lay dead
The mothers all weeping

Are millions of pin pricks enough for a giant
Is it enough
To stand here defiant

Do I fight?

Feeling so small in the face of their wrath
How many go
And never come back

The future was yours but I'm watching it fade
Turning to dust
All we have made

Do I fight
Or turn my face away?
