They Made The Fires For YouA Poem by Kaela CravenI dreamt that Pierre pointed to fire in the hills and said, "they made the fires for me."
Where once was vastness
Cold and endless Came a flash in pitch black darkness And lit a fire In pre-life oneness To bring you to me now. And when the creatures Scared and speechless Found a light in all the blackness They lit a fire To cure the soulless And bring you to me now. I'd call it hopeless Destined, dreamless To find a flame in all my darkness But came a spark among the heartless And brought you to me now. © 2021 Kaela Craven |
