Bleeding Star

Bleeding Star

A Poem by Kaelani

Drink the poison.

Tighten the noose.

Swallow broken glass,

vomiting blood and shards of the truth.

Rip out your heart.

Shove it down your throat.

Screaming from the start.

Watch yourself choke.

A bleeding star.

Beautifully grotesque.

A self inflicted scar.

Misery expressed.

Hopeless wishing.

Ends with disappointment.

There's a fragment.

Of your heart, missing.

It's in his hands.

But he doesn't know.

It's mutilated and hollow.

But still pulses.

With all the love and jealousy.

You hide inside your soul.

Emotionless, living zombie.

You gave your emotions.

So he had a chance to be happy.

Your heart swells with hope.

Your mind's clouded by doubt.

You're sick of wishing.

Your heart's worn out.
