the love you promised

the love you promised

A Poem by arthur kabelo

A gift wrapped... nd packed in my chest...
The love you promised
Was expected like a cristmas gift
But it was a valentines day gift
My hopes were so high
They gave my love an up lift...
My young innovated by love heart
Played a tune never to be heard
But my love for you...
Made my heart bigger better...
And it kept ur heart happier thn ny emty bladder
My mother, father & brother
Could have swarn your love had made me smarter
And the joy in my life glowed even brighter
but the love i was promised
didnt find me....
The love i was promised
Like a bus i missed...
But never even got
to blow a good by kiss...
My love... my friend... my former lover...
Was just a girl....
The girl who went away with my love promise
