promise

A Poem by arthur kabelo

Promise
You keep our hopes high...
That mom will do it,
That dad will buy it,
That she will show up,
That he will never do it,
Promise
Broken like you are glass
Bult you are molten ice
So i cant keep you but contain you
You are like a prisoner
I must have a clean record to keep you
You are like rain in the deasert
I must have a room for disapointment
If im expecting you
Promise
You are .......
simple but hard to keep
A birth day gift thats expensive
You are a problem mankind cant solve
You are all tough and more
to those who cant keep you
But to those who can keep you
You are just a promise
a reason to deliver
