Suicide of farmers

Suicide of farmers

A Poem by writ rajat
"

this poem is based on the increasing number of farmers suicides in India

"
oh farmer don't do that,
because of you I can sit
on dining  table and eat,
just I cannot eat any more ,
the number of time I put my fingers into my mouth
to finish one time meal is very smidgen in comparison to number of deaths,
I cannot understand how frood people eat, eat and eat,
possibilities are that the person who grow grains may have died,
how can we keep them in the very very side
let us contribute let us sell our suit boot ,
to finish their dues from the root,
god will not forgive us for not taking it seriously,
they have also ate their grain when they were in avatars,
why are they dying continuously,
i hate government i hate democracy,
until they stop doing so much hypocrisy,

I know nothing about this terrible subject ..
But thank you for telling us how it is
in your country...a sad state of affairs
indeed...... I agree this needs some editing..
but the message is understood
Loud and Clear !!!

You touched a very sensitive topic . . and its a great attempt to bring such things and highlight the pain and loss our farmers get in return of filling our stomach . . the writing needs a bit editing but ovrall it was a nice poem with a good social message

Thanks.....
A brave attempt with a definite message. I agree with Jacob however a little editing would benefit.

Notice how they leave generic and overly agreeable reviews...

Yes I agree age has a lot to do with it. Your remarks show how immature you are.
last two lines so true...governments seem to be about themselves these days...not the people.

and it is hard to enjoy meals knowing so many are starving...
needs some editing, but a pertinent piece of writing.

Power can eat up any weak person. I like the idea of this poem.

Sadly, those in power enjoy the benefits of the hard wok an even suffering of those that feed them.
"Compassion" is a word they do not understand. You have highlighted the plight of farmers in India, but it seems to be a world wide problem, that is carefully suppressed by the media, which itself is in the pay of the rich rulers, despite their claims of revealing the "truth".

It is important to highlight the mass suicides by Indian farmers, and impoverished farmers around the world. Despite big agro companies claiming that they feed the world, it is the small farmers that in fact feed most of the world's human population. Despite that, so many are left destitute as their crops are devalued, their land is desecrated, and their livelihoods are in a constant state of stress.

Suicide is not a sin, but an end to living ... Those who seek this end have arrived at a point of vision obscured by the hopelessness of not being able to imagine tomorrow as a better day ... I speak these words as one left behind in the wake of someone I cared for who chose suicide over continuation of existence on this planet ... There is no magic portal of return or video game reset button to give second chances at living again, though the religious schizophrenia mental conditioning of Organized Religion would lead us deceptively captive beneath the mystical magical spell of believing so ... Upon death, we cease existing, as though we never were in the first place ... Our only hope of eternal life (a blatant false teaching of Organized Religion) is to be found in the memories of those who loved and respected us, hence, all the more reason to do all we can to live right and live well in the here and now, in setting memorable examples for those whom we do love, even if we fail to love ourselves enough to remain among the living ...

Thank you for making people, around the world, aware of this tragic situation in India ... What you have shared is heart breaking and powerfully disturbing ... Yet, I would encourage you: DO NOT STOP shouting the cry of those who die in suicides that are preventable if conditions of life and making a living were BUT simply changed in a manner that restores hope in tomorrow being a better day, and dignity and self respect for those who humble themselves to till the ground so that you and I may dine like kings in our homes ...

Ironic it is, that worldwide, it is always politicians with plump bellies that bleed our nations in the name of leading them, when, in truth, it is those who pour their sweat and blood into tilling the ground that feed us, and so ultimately lead us into the promise and hope of every tomorrow that comes our way, as the true roles of importance and gratitude due to true leadership and sacrifice, as a debt of homage owed by the people, has been reversed to kissing the behinds of government political bleeder leaders, rather than honoring those who dedicate their very existence to feeding the world ...

Democracy (Majority Rule) is truly two wolves and a sheep discussing what is for dinner ... Only in a Republic does the minority possess hope of equitable representation ... Historically, every Republic (Greek and Roman Empires as prime examples) that allows itself to be transformed into an absolute democracy soon falls thereafter ... America is clinging to a final few threads of its existence as a Republic ... Should these threads be destroyed, America is doomed to fall ... I hope for better things for India and for your people … History would teach us great and profound realities, if we would but heed its lessons, and it warnings ...

Powerful stuff. There are so many people who work hard to make everyone's lives go smoothly, yet are short on thank yous. Farmers are one of them. Good for you for raising awareness! :)
