Child marriage

Child marriage

A Poem by writ rajat
"

Its a true event happened in my life recently.I am against the cavalcade of child marriage happening in my country. It is indispensable to having your supports so please share this poem.

"
In my village I attended a marriage,
at the age of full enjoyments,
she was given a bondage.
when I went near the stage ,
then my heart press a break.
I cracked after seeing that the bride was crying,
I know that  I can't do anything,
but I am committed to do anything,
for bringing smile on her face,
I pick up my bike and get on a race.
At first I reached police station,
for my purpose I have limited duration.
While I am filing the F.I.R.
I don't mind how gormless they are.
The time was less and work was more,
with three policemen I rushed to the door.
there I managed to stop this wedding
as the crowd started spreading.
In the mind of bride's father,
his daughter is a big  burden,
but in the reality she is a golden bird,
whenever she fly she can change the world.

It is wrong for parents to treat their children like property and a burden. To marry children is ludicrous in my mind and yet still they carry on this horrible tradition. You have expressed this well :)

You are welcome :)
Marriage is a decision that should be made by the parties involved and not the parents or other family. It is and should well be the most important decision of a person's life as it marks a person's commitment to their own family throughout life! Good poem and a good message! Grammar!

I absolutely love this. There were some grammatical issues. Like in one place you should have said "I don't mind" not "I doesn't mind". But other than that this was a fantastic write. Thanks for sharing.
