4.50. Being that special girl

“What do you mean I’m going to be the girl at the end of the rainbow?!” Catherine gasped as she stepped back. “What the hell is the girl at the end of the rainbow anyway?”

 

“Calm down,” Lianne raised her hands defensively as Catherine tried to process this piece of information suddenly given to her. “Have you calmed down?”

 

Catherine merely gave a slight nod as Lianne rested her hands on Catherine’s shoulders.

 

“Inhale,” Catherine parted her lips and breathed in. She exhaled as Lianne followed her.

 

“I’m going to explain everything okay?”

 

Catherine nodded again.

 

“The girl at the end of the rainbow is my family’s way of calling it hope,” Lianne started and watched Catherine carefully, “Hope in the sense that our country would unite again, as one.

 

“The girl at the end of the rainbow would be the cause of the uniting. She is symbolized as the treasure whereas the rainbow part of it is the hope part. Get it?”

 

“Y-yes…” Catherine sighed, “I was just surprised.”

 

Lianne nodded and lets go of the girl. She wraps her arm around Catherine’s shoulders and pulled her to her.

 

“Why don’t we lighten things up a bit?” Lianne suggested

 

“What do you mean?”

 

“Let’s hang out, like the kids in the 21^st century did.” Lianne smiled and whistled. Tikbalang immediately dropped what he was doing and ran to Lianne and Catherine.

 

“What do you lovebirds need?” Tikbalang chuckled as Lianne glared at him. I sometimes forget I am supposed to be Prince Roy, she thought.

 

“Let’s go at your hideout,” she continued. Tikbalang merely grinned. “Tomorrow, ok?”

 

Tikbalang frowned. “Why?”

“Because,” Lianne turned to Catherine, “We should let her rest.”

Okay the story is perfect! And I like it.. But the thing confusing me is that... Is Lianne a boy or a girl?? Man, I am so annoyed at this. Solve this problem please :)
