What is this?

This came to me when I was at the peak of the end of the day about this thing we call crushes

Twilight came, one damp and dreary

And my problems felt so heavy

Yet it came to me so very clearly

That I stumbled on a unique query

 

A query that stole my attention

“What’s with this aberration?”

It was my sure heart’s question

While my mind is in deviation

 

The winds to me seemed dramatic

My insides turned very frantic

Then my sideward glance felt scenic

Yet the image I saw was tragic

 

The answer isn’t there at all

How long was time going to stall?

When will this tempest fall?

That was what my mind calls

 

My head felt terribly tight

The butterflies inside took flight

My cheeks warmth reached heights

And I wondered,

            -“Why was he in my sight?”
