Phoenix, Shockwave of Lo

Phoenix, Shockwave of Lo

A Poem by Onoma

Neglect has seated you...upturned pitchfork
talons crinkled sallow.
The teeming lights of transmigration cop the
ocher 'neath your feathered kitsch.
Phoenix, esprit junky bar none--metaphysical
potboiler screeching bloodiest murder and
resurrection many stretches passed Lazurus'
morning call.
The labyrinthine vertigo of your ash,
chaperoned you decidedly out of your gamely
employed self.
As two stones in the hands of a progressive
simian, a certain friction sparked your inmost
disposition.
All cosmic curfews seemed to hush you--as a
star biodegraded, a sodden newspaper.
Fully paying the piper of all passion--you twitch,
not so having.
Your disparaging beak pries apart, huffs its
interdimensional timepiece.
The shockwave of lo...atripping terra firma--
behold and beholden--golden wingspan.
