Her, OnsetA Poem by Onoma
The window kept receding, moonlight broke
against it...trailed by entangling cigarette smoke. Giving it all the appearance of a deep sea jelly fish. You...and your amen to a.m.--intractable paces ahead, intractable paces behind... in lieu of. It was before that window, few leaf through awake...I was usurped by your portal. Your portal awoke me to impart its message, a queasy distension, an alerting throb compromising the length of my body. As if I was xeroxed, enfolded and put into your back pocket absentmindedly. Days later you squeezed toothpaste, and hand sanitizer all over the sink...as if to cleanse the giant alabaster mouth of a god. You began leaving symmetrical piles of cigarette butts , and leaves as offerings on my mother's porch...on sidewalks. Your grip was loosened for you. Konstantinos Mark *This is the first of a series of poems.
