Fate Left You Here

Fate Left You Here

A Poem by Onoma

...Fate left you here...infinity vented at
your birth.
The morrow cried for, you...too early,
too late.
Our whole expands...everywhere we turn,
as if eyes conspired whole to dig-in deep.
Water broke from her, to cut us open.
For lack of chance our lively resting places--
one-offed.
We've confused years hopelessly, by way
a precocity that saw through the doubled-up
enterprise of illusion.
There's always much to come away with, as
a thief in cliched night.
Fate left you here...infinity vented at your
birth.
