Supernova

Supernova

A Poem by Onoma

Distilled concourse, the black sheep of space itself...
pinpricked with breathing holes that burst light.
Everything lives inside its head...stars star as proof
positive of other mental work.
Serenade their indelible station with great learning--
unapproachable subtlety.
Victors of the immaterial thumbtacking greyest matter.
Unshaken eyes cast for vigil...voids swath and drown
in trying to connect them.
Imagine your reverent lay beneath stars...suddenly
they all bud heads in the thick of night, years of daylight
would shower upon your eyes in an instant.
Beam up an effigy of your earthly lay--encase you in
the experimental color coarsing a bubble greater than
a galaxy.
A supernova sure of the grand display of creation's
innards.
