Nocturne

Nocturne

A Poem by Onoma

All this verity elongates the will,
till the averages of distances yell
what's far, far afield.
Moonlit feet in the bare on black
grass...go at the ground as if they
support the last thing standing.
The mind parodies body, body
parodies mind in a fourth rate bid
for disappearance--as the infinite,
and infinitesimal trade glances.
The terrible arc of a stone's throw...
is more than gravity and glass houses.
There's too much substantial evidence
to destroy...all this verity elongates
the will...far, far afield.
The stone will come to rest, the shattered
glass will reflect ambient light in snatches...
and a nocturne will be fully realized.
The cover story of unrequited love.

I like your skillful use of language, though I would have put these into stanzas of 3 lines myself. It's all quite artistic and unusual. I feel a sense of the 'supernatural' for lack of a better term pervades this piece.
