Carrion to Vulture

Carrion to Vulture

A Poem by Onoma

...What is it...where is it...
where did it come from?
...Bid me agony...and I
shall agonize...bid me the
undoing of agony...and I
shall love.
I am here for these...as
all in between--my
preference is carrion to
vulture, not vulture to
carrion...I am here for
these...for this.
...What is it...where is it...
where did it come from?
It asks thus...incessantly
within my breast...its
telling is in the living.

~ even i don't know why we're here, sire... even i don't know the reason for existence... i love despite the agony... i love one who is probably in greater agony than i am... but loving despite agony is excruciating... it is a very exacting experience...
