Searchlight Disconnected From Its Lighthouse

Searchlight Disconnected From Its Lighthouse

A Poem by Onoma

Spaces distance themselves--to
isolate the purpose of longing.
A depth where memory forgets
itself...spaces backwashed
lucidly.
Genuine seeing sets in--as if a
searchlight disconnected from its
lighthouse...swimming toward
the horizon's conclusion.
Longingly, as it is to bleed and
be bled for...the exchange of
the heart's chalice.
Eyes are lit by salvation in asking...
(so many eyes)...tenderly placed
for their hapless duration.
Spaces distance themselves--
to isolate the purpose of longing...
it is therefrom a genuine seeing
sets in.
How else may emotion unfold...
how else may this temple stand
amidst the wilderness?
A temple destined to die into
life...as life is irreducible from
a genuine seeing.

~ i'm astounded by your vision, monsieur... you're such a magnificent poet... i cannot begin to tell you what these lines mean to me...

~ this is where i'm at... but i couldn't have articulated my thoughts as brilliantly or poetically in a million light years... you are amazing... i feel like i've received a universe of understanding from you... thank you for being you...

You can see the search light and that's wonderful. Nice finish. All and all a pretty good poem, and I'm hard to please.

This is absolutely beautiful, elegant, emotional... I could go on and on, but I'm sure you get my point.

Wonderful!
