Descriptive Mystery Story of Nature

The scales of hunter green, dirty brown, and fading green protect the great treasure inside.  The sacred treasure that gives life.  A tangle of outstretched arms is adorned by glorious green, rich red, and outstanding orange.  A firm foundation with roots deep in the past.  Secretly holding the rings of age she stands mighty and strong.  

Holding fast, she gives life with her arms of love.  A fortress for the helpless.  A home for the wondering.  An inspiration to the young.  Withstanding the outraged blow of the horrendous, raging storms of life.  Her strength and endurance tested daily, and with great morale she prevails.  

The mighty oak stands firm and shines beautifully mid-Autumn.  She is a majestic wonder to behold.  The amazing oak tree.

I like it. I think it's a good start. I enjoyed your imagery and the description of the oak tree. My question is-will the story be told from the tree's point of view? Or will you add more characters? I'm curious to know what the sacred treasure is. My suggestion is to keep building onto the sentences, make them really strong and keep writing! Good luck!
