Necessary Evil

A personal battle

Inside a man is a legion
Chained with morality,
Tamed by others perception,
Embalmed in guilt,
Trapped in the net of emotions.

There is a thing,also another
that wants to stop, but
No! I'm tied
To this "soul-draining" leach
with a hundred-to-one chance
of freedom.

I'll love to hate what I love
Grasp unto the right and just
Yet my attractions have desires
which are at war.

Something wants to break
Out in full glitz but
Another man's opinion
makes it cringe in fear
hiding its purple beauty.

what defines man better than his storm
beauty better than ugly
strength better than weakness
smiles better than tears
love better than pangs of hatred
happy better than sad is
A man better than his necessary evil.
