AriA Story by KatieAbout a vampire and a girl, hope you like it :3 - This is a revised edition of a story I posted earlier
The hallway was dark and there was no end. It was pitch black, and he was visible. Ari's eyes flamed crimson, no longer my best friend. My legs and hands straddled across the floor, my pulse elevated, sweat protruding from my skin, terrified. No matter how I wanted to get up and run, to open my mouth and scream forte so the world could hear me, to blanket my arms around him, feeling the touch of his skin as HUMANS, I couldn't. I pushed my hands against the ground, I was paralyzed, shaking in fear. Ari caressed his arms beneath the top of mine, lifting me, locking me in place, his rag doll. I could hear his heavy breathing, he didn't say a word. The fact I didn't know what Ari was thinking felt as if I drilled to the bottom of the ocean and had no escape. Visual images of him hurting me played over and over in my head. Ari released one arm and his fingers dug into my hair. He released the other and his hand forcefully rose my chin. Ari's going to stab me with a knife! Sharp fangs grinded into my neck, blood splattered. Warm blood trickled down it. I whispered, "Ari…"He grunted. I felt the suction of his sucking and his wet tongue moving. I lacked focus, everything became blurry, my breathing excessive. Ari did what he wanted, I was his toy. I filled my lungs with air and released. "Ari stop! STOP!!!" Cries were useless. He was a machine and cared about sucking my blood dry. Ari's fangs rose from my neck and he released his grip. I dropped to the ground. His eyes stopped glowing and turned to a gray, no longer a monster. Shakily, he said, "oh no, what have I done?" Ari surged towards me, slid an arm beneath my back, using his hand on the other to support my head, lifting me slightly. "Ari, you're a vampire…" He pressed his finger against my bottom lip, "shhhh..." And kissed me, I tasted my blood. The holes on my neck sealed and the ruby liquid dissipated. Ari moved his head back inches from mine, looked me in the eyes and breathed, "there." I asked, "why didn't you tell me you were a vampire?" His mouth turned upside down, "I didn't want to lose you. It'd be best I erased your memories of the night." I shrieked, "NO!" My outburst confused him. "Allie, don't you want to forget? I shook my head, "I want to remember everything, he's not you!" Ari asked, "who?" Warmness spread across my body, my heart wanted to escape. "The vampire! You can't control him!" Silence. My fists grounded into my knees, I closed my eyes, "Ari! I love you!"
"Allie, I need to go." He got up, running. "Where are you going?" Ari didn't turn, but yelled, "stay away from me!" I couldn't and chased after. He ran outside the school corridors, under the starless sky, into the forest. I stopped, panting and letting my arms hang low, inclined to catch up and did. I tripped over vines growing in the ground, my arms outcast, colliding us into a lake. I didn't know how to swim, I was drowning. I felt an arm reach around me and the movement of floating toward the top. We reached the surface and water spurted out of my mouth, I gasped for air. Ari swam us to shore and he laid me in the grass. "Allie, are you okay?" I looked into his steel eyes, "I think so." He continued, "sorry for running." I replied, "Ari, I forgive you." Nervous, I pressed my lips against his. Ari grabbed my arm and pulled me into him, tightly hugging me. His chin rested on my head. "Allie, I'm not good with words." He squeezed his fingers against my hands. "I wanted to tell you…" He panted and his warm breath touched my face, accompanying me with a kiss. I heard breathing in my ear, "I love you too." © 2015 KatieAuthor's Note
