what counts

what counts

A Poem by kris mccartan

life can be short,
and days can be long,
some things are never taught,
some things just don't belong,
life is full of boundaries,
and life is full of goals.
success and disapointment,
and many lost souls,
we do not know where our life will end,
we do not know upon
what we may depend,
but life is for living,
loveing and fun,
life is not forgiveing,
but we should never try to run,
in life we should try,
and do things our best,
and push our selves
for acomplishment,
and constantly test,
so that we feel for forfilled,
and can always give life meaning,
because to not strive,
and not test is really demeaning,
before we go before we're gone,
we must find joy,
but also theres the other end,
thats to give others joy,
to receive whats yours,
and give in return,
this vision at the end
does cause us to learn,
so what counts in life is not
how much you do,
its how you do it why you do it,
and that you remain true.
