Dark Planets

Dark Planets

A Poem by jyb333
"

A strange poem... one of those ones where you are lying in bed, listening to people talk downstairs, and then the Poem hits you and you can't fall asleep until you write it down.

"

The Blackened Planets, filling up

Ages past of endless sup,

Blackened Planets, oh so cold,

hated the young, but not the old.

Smoldering, the Elders stand,

Burning on the fuel of fools,

Tearing down the statues, Man,

Not a chip, but a tic, they can.

Laughing, hooting, "Here they come!"

Forever beat the endless Drum,

The Elders, the Statues,

The Fools are the tic,

The Drum, still a-beating, our God

Covered, sadly, by the hooting of the Fools.
