Youth

Youth

A Poem by Jeremy
"

A poem about childhood.

"
They soar gently in the wind
Smiles in the sky
Extensions of our small arms
Looking over the trees
To a storm in the distance.

This was originally much longer and went into my family and my childhood. I decided to scrap it all, leaving it implied with the last line.

Sometimes people go overboard and miss the forest for the trees. (Sorry, haven't used that cliche' yet so I thought I would use it on you) It appears that the decision to cut the poem down was a good one. The last line adds a lot of mystery for you to continue on in another work if you wanted to, so I understand. It's a good one. Hope you do more. CD

very nice poem, the memories of being young captured the essence of the poem
