Reflection on the world

Reflection on the world

A Story by jwestbro11

I was a Christian Coalition meeting and every time I go there I find that they say the same thing. That society is sick and needs to change of course in a lot more words. So I was thinking about what we can do to change it. Will we be like Jesus Christ and attack the money exchanges at the temple of Solomon or will be less aggressive less active in our approach?

I first started to think when did it all go wrong in society and I have not come up with one answer but a multitude of answers about this. My first thing I thought of was the Protestant reformation and how it destroyed the power of the Catholic Church. Before then it was join Christianity of see him immediately leading to the deaths of many religious sects of Christianity and the deaths of many forms of paganism. Now that is it gone we now have neo-paganism springing back up along with Wicca.

It didn’t end there I thought of Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations how it best calcifies the situation we are in now. He said in 1776 that we all act in our own self-interest. We think of g-d latter and think of ourselves first. He had many ideas that are the basis of capitalism and remain unchallenged except by Choral Marx.

There are many problems of the world. All of these are caused by capitalism. The greed of the mega corporations like M.C. Donald’s has led to many of the massive problems to the rest of us. The capitalists would have us believe that the trickledown effect works. That is if you unburden the rich with less taxes that it would lead to better lives for the rest of us. In fact that money goes into the pockets of the rich. They tell you that globalization leads to better higher paying jobs for the rest of us. In fact these jobs sent overseas never come back.

Which leads of my first point of the devastation of capitalism. The profits of the rich take away from the poor. The rich is literally taking the food from the faces of the poor and putting in in their pockets. There is 15.1% of Americans are in poverty. That is a staggering amount of people in a civilized nation. It is all the fact of the capitalist’s greed knows no limit they will kill workers for a profit.

A tactic in the arsenal of capitalists is to sell sin. You can’t go into a book store without seeing sex being sold like any other commodity. What do I mean Diamond Dallas Pages yoga book is a perfect example. It has a good looking man on a book and it doubles the amount of people buying it. It works because most of us have sexual urges we have to fight with on a daily basis. Most of us will impulse buy it for the face on the cover not really knowing what we are buying. They have mastered psychology and we have to work not only against the capitalists but against our own mind.

This leads me to my next point. Looking back at the 1960’s it was inevitable that the hippies would come. They had been put in an environment of the greatest generation. They wanted to normalize as fast as they possibly could. The children saw the unhappiness of their parent’s generation and didn’t want it for themselves. They wanted to change the world and they tried to change it. They wanted to live in a non-capitalist society. They went to extremes to get please. They did drugs, they had free love and yet it all failed. Before they could have any effect Richard Nixon had it illegal to do drugs. He illegalized their activity and lead to the war on drugs which to date has cost as you 10/17/11 a huge $42,973,417,527. He made it illegal to be a hippie.

Which leads me to the whole problem of the mindless pursuit of pleasure itself. It is a cancer let loose by the capitalists. It was once counter culture now it is culture that the capitalists capitalize on. I am talking about two different things when I am talking about the mindless pursuit of pleasure. I am talking first about sexual pleasure like what is forbidden by g-d. Like masturbation, fornication, and other forbidden sexual practices. These practices are caused by are culture as a way of coping with are society. Are capitalist society holds nothing sacred so we just live the way that makes us feel good.

Which brings me to my next point the moving away from religion or going to alternative religions to help cope with the world. We have a huge problem in the fact that very few of us live in accordance with g-d. We read an altered Bible to fit certain people’s interruption of the text changing the wording killing what it meant in the first point. We have no way of knowing what Jesus thought just 1 persons interruption of what he had read. So that has led some people to other going away from religion. It is also like anything else a commodity which the capitalists can corrupt changing its meaning not intentional but it does. One misprint can change someone’s meaning of g-d.

For this problem the Old Testament is a great guide. It is such a science in Jewish circles that they can count the letters on the page and are able to tell if any mistakes are made in the text. A Christian is not that much of a zealot to do that but we have one of the best sources of Jesus texts right in front of us and we don’t use it. We Christians are not studying the text of James the Just or the teacher of raucousness the brother of Jesus. If you don’t know what I am talking about I am talking about the Dead Sea Scrolls. So the question is why not? I have absolutely no clue we have determined that it is the truth by archeology.

Back to the second form of never ending pleasure is in the form of drugs. It is not to say that drugs are bad but they lead to other things which I will mention later. It is a critical failure of the capitalist system. It is caused by a lack of meaning caused by lack of religion and the greed of the capitalists. The law of supply and demand says that if there is a demand there will be someone to supply it. They make it illegal and a bunch of capitalists try to capitalize on the situation by selling it illegally. It costs penny’s to make and you can sell it for 20 times what it costs to manufacture. In 1998 there was 65 billion dollars made in the drug trade. Compared to Microsoft that made only 14.48 billon dollars.

There is still hope for this to change. Enter Coral Marx he is the fore father of socialism he would not be surprised to see the state of the world. He wrote about the decline of capitalism

With this letter I tell you all stand up and not allow the capitalists to corrupt you. Do not allow yourself to become the scum of the earth and I teach to you that Capitalism will die. The question is will we be taken down with it ?

i don't think you're going to teach anyone anything till you learn to spell and write. your hero, by the way, is Karl Marx, not choral or coral.
there is so much wrong with the logic in your arguments here there's really no point it trying to point it all out. in case you've been asleep for the past 50 years or so, you should know that socialism failed where it was attempted. russia, cuba, china, etc. and the problem? the same problem that capitalism has. it involves people. people are naturally greedy. doesn't matter what the economic system. people are people. time to think a little deeper.
oh, and your religious views? just as informed as your economic views.
