The Cidar Mill

The Cidar Mill

A Poem by James W Wilson Jr
"

A moment captured in time! Let me know what you think!

"

Those cold winter days, Michigan

My heart warmed by her touch

I looked into her eyes and saw my future

We sipped warm cider, talked and laughed

The world was ours at that moment

We made it last

Across the table I can feel the love

Radiating like the sun

Burning inside of us

Two free spirits running wild

That day at the cider mill

Nothing else mattered

We weren't different anymore

Not even black or white

As we lay on the blanket, in tall grass

Wind blowing her hair, casscading sun

I closed my eyes and saw her face

A silouett in time

That day at the cider mill

I found love and never again

Will I love more

I can feel the crispness in the air contrast with the warmth of love that you describe, and see the blue sky and clouds overhead.

This is about love that has lasted a lifetime. Though we have been separated by time and miles, and have not seen each other in over 17 years she still owns my heart!
