Seduction of the Storm

Breathe

Exhale.

Rise then fall.

Hoist the mainsail

before the nightfall.

Mutiny doth travail

anon the lascivious squall

tightening ropes, the forestaysail,

man the mast, drift past the great stonewall.

Wind over water, ocean’s brief inhale.

Etheree poems are poems that consist of 10 lines in which the first line has one syllable and every line after that up to ten has one more syllable than the last. Etheree can also be reversed and written in a 10/9/8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1 format as well.

I don't believe they necessarily have to rhyme but for some reason I found that I needed to with this one.

Etheree --- a different form...aI saw there was a structure as I read this one...and then you give use the answer...I like how you starts with "exhale" and then end with "inhale" and the body of this captures the moment...I see you like using those words in your other writings...

I'm not usually one for poetry constrained to a recognized style (I often contrive my own "restrictions" and play with things my own way the rebel I am) but this is something else again Julie.

While I've not been out on many a boat, this brings me back to those few times and is a wonderful little piece that not only follows the poem style but also paints a picture without feeling forced or the such.

My only way of describing this, is something that a person would want on their lips before doing something a bit crazy, like jumping off a water fall (fun btw). Nice setting, works well with a nice string of area's. But most of all, it gives one the feeling of a rush to jump. Enjoyed this.

There is a true seduction to a strong storm. The power of a storm is undeniable. I enjoy reading your writings. It must be your formal education, but sometimes its hard for me to understand the complexity of your writes, but none the less, I very much enjoy them

Utterly perfect flow and really strong use of rhyme once really work s in this write.
You always connected with the reader and that to me is the most important part of writting to begin with dream like feel to this

This was good, but wasn't sure if I was missing the point. Shouldn't the sea in the picture be a bit more choppy? Loved it all though. Thanks.
