Visions of NatureA Poem by J.V. Stanley
Visions of Nature Whispers of color echo through lumbering trees Saplings sprout the reincarnation of seasons. Vibrant colors, emerge with the soft hum of crickets. The avalanche of truth falls faster than the rain As it draws its claws across The fluid sky-clouding it with Steely drizzle, frosting the air. The icy rocks and stones it forms, tear At the flesh of the ground. Pummeling the sediment until its Forged into a meringue-like pulp. The winds garnish the hypnotic willow dance Capturing all the attention of the sky. Watch, as the clouds turn belly-up In slumber-the night awakens. The stars above shine like paltry jewels During the exodus of the sun. Her rays Slowly creep to ensnare their luminous fire, Unable to reach- To capture their beauty that cries out. © 2008 J.V.
