Your WorldA Poem by J.V. StanleyA poem I had published back in High school
Your world Deeper, hear the sound, the melodies of wakefulness Adapt to the enormous pulchritudinous consistent void That ruptures the venomous silence of my mind My thoughts, how they tear at you, Churning beneath my lyrics. The man, he with the snake-like stature, Furthering my emotions that reside continuously within The comfort of my oblivious sublime zone. The sounds, how they breed an excessive plethora of nonsense, Yet you clear the path of society’s shattered misconceptions. My inebriating urge to hold you, withdraws Within the bleakness that somehow sooths you, cautiously. Our words, thoughts integrate, then intertwine between the crevices, Creating a truth that is disheartening to us both. I dream too much, of what I’d long to acquire- The magnum fortune bequeathed within its mirth. And holy says the heart deep inside my apothecary. I am cursed as your face replaces all others, The predominance of your life speaks clearly of life. I see you through all the vacant trepidations, And feel a more abundance of love, That none could fathom, Though I remain nameless within your world. © 2008 J.V. StanleyReviews
