DestinyA Poem by J.V. Stanleyoriginally written May 2000, revised December 2006Destiny December 2006
The wiper blade dance brush crimson streaks reflected upon the glass. Spattered liquor droplets, adorn the soiled carpets. The wind piles its heavy self upon the blanket of the night. Satin blown through chambers impending to reside, reciprocating the candor of intent. How stupid it seems, to trudge across the bridge of life, tedioiusly side-stepping the inevitable deceleration. The wind chaps love once enclosed in bitter hearts, the clammy caulk of apathy, nothing more behind the helm. © 2008 J.V. Stanley |
