Dark

Dark

A Poem by Janne Varvára Seem

The streetlight, bright orange,
Is leaking inside
But drowns in florescents;
It's darkness outside.

Here, there is mayhem,
Yet past these four walls
Everything's muffled,
And everything stalls,

Until the sunlight
Will touch leaves again,
And waken the madness,
The madness of men,

I'd like nothing better
Than join yonder black,
Where nothing and no-one
Are calling me back

Where everything's fleeting
And I don't abide
To steadfastness, duty
Where dark does reside.
