1. A new start?A Chapter by January1.A New Start? I moved when I was 14, I did not expect much from the new place. It had been happening for ages. We settled somewhere, i got comfortable and we moved, it's had been like that since I was kid. I had gotten use to it, that was what i thought. We moved into Silvergrove, a funny little town. The clouds were always covering the sun, letting only splashes of light pass through its dark curtains. They fell on fields of red poppies and chrysanthemums, making them seem almost blinding. Thought the village was gloomy, it was gaudy. Forget-me-not's on the roadsides, with dandelions popping here and there. We made our way through a grove and my dad parked the car near a muddy path. We crossed puddles of mud and patches of grass. It must have rained a lot back then. We soon reached a cottage, a decent looking one. It wasn't like the old house we had in Brisbane, it was small and seemed to be made of wood, but it was just paint. It was coming off in some places, so i could notice it easily. The door was made of oak, and we let ourselves inside. The inside was just as plain, wooden flooring, walls covered with wallpapers that looked ancient and dusty tables and chairs covered with white cloth. The old owners must have left it there. It had 3 bedrooms, 1 master bedroom and 2 spare ones. My parents said they would share the master bedroom and left me with one room. They decided to keep the other one as a guest room. It wasn't like we were gonna have guests anyway. Each room had a attached bathroom. We also had a kitchen and a living room, There was a small storage closet tucked away at the backyard. It was almost unnoticeable as it was covered with moss and mushrooms. The cottage was surrounded by grasses and flowers, the backyard was full of weeds. Mom said it needed some family magic, I knew it meant the three of us gardening in the weekend. The moving truck arrived just in time and the unpacking began. It was a new start at the time I guess?
