Science

Science

A Poem by JacJak
"

God=miracles=science

"

Limited by mathematics as I’m kept in this room

psychedelic shaped flask that hold back liquids
As equations give guidance to what we have to solve

Units are destructive for they only give boundaries

of quantities of what we haven’t got

or – if we got – then we compare with others

what they have not

or – they might have too, and then we weigh

with judging units to prove who has more

Until I am no longer centered between these four walls

science will not be that life saving force that has given

that Godly – second chance to too many

            undeserving

                                    spoiled

-

or - those that have received miracles by God’s left hand,

spooning out doses of knowledge that trickles into medicine bottles

           as science

The awakening of a mind that slipped struggled in search

for celestial ashes

that have burned to soot from Michael’s fire for the

feast on Lucifer’s flesh

From that dust alone from the kitchen of Heaven

slips through the cracks in the wood floors to earth

are patients with sarcoma or melanoma saved

I enjoyed this poem. The flow is great, I liked the use of the dashes ("or-"). Sometimes it's really nice to read a poem with a concurring feeling too, I was agreeing with you the whole time. I also liked the imagery, "centered between these four walls" was my favorite line.
Overall, a really nicely written commentary on science and how restrictive it can be.
