The devil in you

I wrote this poem to remind myself that you are not alone,this devious companion will make sure you stray,so endeavour to make his efforts futile

Vanity is my

name

 

Misguiding is

my game

 

I slither and

I whisper

 

I cling to

your jugular vein

 

I seduce and

I tempt

 

I create an

infidel

 

I make wrong

seem right

 

I am a

labyrinth of lies

 

I am an

assailant disguised

 

I adorn a

handsome cloak

 

My abode is

your soul

 

I make it

stench and reek with hatred

 

Until it can

hold no more

 

I travel

incognito

 

I carry my

paraphernalia with me

 

Constituting

a fork and horns

 

I break you

limb from limb until you are forlorn

 

I am a

constant companion

 

Don’t give

me furtive glances

 

I intend to

do no harm

 

Except stab

you when your guard is down

 

I am a

diabolical hound

 

I’ll hunt

you down

 

With subtlety

, as it is my forte

 

I’ll make

you stoop so low

 

Depths that

only despair knows

 

Who am I ?

haven’t you guessed?
