Mercy

Mercy

A Poem by justjenn_2u

Instrumental euphony plays amongst us so gently
Heart is filled with a divine inspired conviction
Eyes stare upward at the monumental cross intently

Mind shutters of His body enduring such affliction
Chills cover me in remembrance of His unselfishness

Eyes fill up with tears as I am yearning to scream
“Jesus, I want to touch you and your worthiness,
May your light flow into me as a river in a stream”

You died for me and you’re the reason why I live

I agree with Mr. Froman. This reads as a very personal and expressive prayer. Fantastic work indeed. "May your light flow into me as a river in a stream" stood out to me the most, as you seem to be ready to accept a faith or an idea much larger than life.

the light flows in many directions,to brighten even the darkest of corners of the soul, search this light for your own inner truth, and your path will become clear, listen to the winds for they hold many answers ,to the questions that whisper through your heart...

What a beautiful expression of love and devotion to the Lord. Your words are like a wondrous prayer...

Nicely written and can leave a lot to the imagination. I love your closing lines.

I write from my heart. I follow my instinct. I live impulsively. I never feel like my feet are firmly grounded as I am a free spirit. I am a very intuitive person, sometimes to the point it hurts .. more..
